According to data from the
U.S. Census Bureau people over the age of 40 now account for more than
60 percent of all adults, numbering 138 million. With birth years spanning 18 years (1946 to 1964), the baby boomers will be an important consumer group for many years to come.
The Willamette Gerontology Network was formed to bring much needed education to Lane, Benton and Linn counties on topics which
affect ourselves, friends
and families as we age.
We also invite others who work with the senior population. Our hope is they will take away pertinent information that assists them in further understanding the needs and desires of the people they serve.
